We can also help your clients prevent and respond to potential and actual workplace violence, by equipping your people with a simple framework for assessing and responding to escalating risk. Our Situational Assessment and Response workshops help employees identify and make knowledgeable decisions on how to deal with potentially harmful behaviours that may impact their own or psychological and physical well-being, as well as that of others around them.

Examples of harmful behaviours may include the need to identify and address workplace bullying, harassment, or in more extreme cases, the need to escape violence. Support for when there is a potential Risk of Violence.

Many employers have done excellent work preparing managers and employees to keep themselves safe during inherently dangerous events such as fires, earthquakes, and even physical attacks.

Unfortunately, many of those same organizations are not well equipped to respond effectively when people raise concerns that an individual might be at risk of committing an act of workplace violence in the near future. They do not have any framework, systems, tools or resources for receiving relevant information in a specific case, for making sense of that information, or for making consistent, defensible decisions about the steps, if any, they need to take in order to keep people safe.
