With over 60,000 people trained worldwide since 2000, our integrated solutions help organizations build better lives for their employees by reducing the work-related stress that impacts their personal and professional lives.
Our solutions help organizations define, train, and implement compliance-related programs that help address issues related to negative behaviours such as micro-aggressions, workplace bullying, harassment, discrimination, conflict, toxic workplaces, and in more extreme cases, threats and acts of violence. Our training solutions are evidence-based and are complementary to each other, allowing for a full end-to-end solution offering that’s only available through ProActive ReSolutions.
Our Organizational Compliance, Conflict Management and Workplace Violence Prevention programs also provide individual training solutions targeted at providing all levels of your organization with the skills and tools that they need to deal with behavioural issues on a daily basis. In addition, our consulting services help organizations identify and resolve issues that internal departments and staff may not be able to address due to internal conflict, union concerns or simple lack of expertise.
Our solutions can be customized to meet the specific needs of larger organizations that require a solution in alignment with their organizational values and goals. We deliver sessions aimed at:
From time to time, unwanted behaviours arise in every workplace. As leaders, are we simply responsible for punishing those who break the rules, or could we support employees to helpfully respond to the behaviours while increasing productivity, personal commitment, and team engagement?
How can we move beyond the rules to build a safe, inclusive, and respectful workplace?
At the centre of ProActive’s Respectful Workplace training is a framework of individual and team accountability in terms of how each of us responds to difficult situations in our workplace. We provide a practical response strategy and tools to tackle incidents of unwanted behaviour directly. Drawing on examples of challenging situations from your workplace, our framework and tools are applied to various contexts that will include difficult interactions with colleagues, managers and others in the workplace.
LEARNING OUTCOMES. In ProActive’s Respectful Workplace training sessions we:
OUR APPROACH. Our sessions include role plays, group activities and discussions, opportunities for feedback and enough theory to provide context. We’ll equip your staff with a shared language and framework to help them display personal leadership when confronted with disrespect.
We deliver Respectful Workplace training sessions online and in-person, with different session lengths and post-training activities based on your organization’s needs.
Workplaces get the behaviours leaders tolerate – if poor performance, bad communication, and negative attitudes aren’t being addressed, they are being reinforced.
Underlying every aspect of a safe, healthy, and productive workplace is the manner in which we interact day-to-day. Our Respectful Workplace for People Leaders Training extends beyond the responsibility of avoiding discriminating, harassing, and abusive behaviour to the cultivation of a workplace in which people meet their full potential as individuals, teams and as an enterprise.
OUR APPROACH. ProActive’s Respectful Workplace for Leaders Workshop is an intensive skills-based session designed to give managers, supervisors, team leaders, and project leaders enhanced communication skills and increased confidence in their own ability to deal with difficult managerial situations in a positive, respectful and professional way.
The session provides advanced training in the application of the Straight Talk® model by working through a series of ‘real life’ situations from participants’ workplaces and provides extensive practice in dealing with defensive responses to feedback.
Participants learn the specific coaching skills required to assist employees to be accountable for handling difficult interactions with each other.
Participants also learn how to apply each of the four steps in our Response Ladder™ to address problem behaviour and/or performance so that their responses to problem behaviour and performance are appropriate to the nature of the problem, consistent with your policy and take account of any previous attempts to address the issues.
This session helps build leaders’ confidence to hold themselves and employees accountable for following policies, in having conversations where agreement does not come easily, in giving and receiving feedback and in following through on interventions to address problem behaviour.
How do you keep employees safe while also maintaining an open and service-driven culture?
When faced with possible workplace violence, it helps to know how to contain situations so that they do not escalate. The deployment of appropriate responses by staff is directly connected to your policies and procedures, as well as maintaining a robust violence prevention culture. This training ensures staff are aware of your policies and procedures, know the early warning signs of violence, are familiar with physical security features, and can contribute to a respectful workplace for staff and clients.
OUR APPROACH. Our sessions are designed to ensure all your employees engage fully with the material. We find that learning events are more likely to drive behaviour change when they include:
LEARNING OUTCOMES. To prevent workplace violence, it is essential that staff recognize warning signs and have a simple, robust framework in which to respond. Our Situational Assessment and Response sessions use interactive scenario-based exercises drawn directly from your organization to work through our Risk and Response Matrix. This matrix enables staff to determine the level of risk as it evolves and select an appropriate prevention strategy.
Our training sessions ensure your staff understand the causes of workplace violence and their individual responsibilities before, during and after an incident occurs. Objectives include:
