Tips to prevent conflict in the workplace


Preventing disruptive and disrespectful behaviour in the workplace requires leaders to focus on people's actions, says Richard D. Hart, respectful workplace specialist at ProActive ReSolutions, in Talent Management's article 'Tips to Prevent Conflict in the Workplace'.

Leaders should avoid focusing on people's "feelings, personalities, perception, beliefs, values, expectations and other things – not because they aren't important, but because it's difficult for an organization to change such traits", Hart said in the Talent Management article.
