Emotions At Work Module 1

Emotions at Work Training Module 1 is an interactive informational session designed to help employees, including managers and supervisors, to understand how feelings influence the behaviour of individuals and groups in the workplace. The session shows participants how they can respond constructively to their own emotions as well as those of their colleagues.

What will participants learn?

  • The 3 Critical realities regarding Emotions at Work
    • Firstly, that individuals cannot prevent feeling particular emotions
    • Secondly, that each individual can prevent behaving poorly in response to emotions; and,
    • Finally, that each individual has a responsibility to behave well at work regardless of how they may feel in a given situation
  • How to influence their own emotions and the emotions of others to affect more positive outcomes
